Copiague Fire Department’s new highwater rescue truck is well underway! Now that the construction on the body is finished, the painting process is proceeding quickly.
This truck is built to rescue people stranded by flooding. This truck rides very high, and is much more durable than a normal firetruck, making it ideal for driving through flooded areas that would immobilize or destroy other vehicles. In addition, a full width lift gate in the rear allows for easy entrance or exit. Look out for more photos later in the season!
